Walking through the botanical garden, I came across these IRISES.
They felt a little tired, as if they were already past their peak.
So I decided to capture them to give them a second life, at least in photographs.

Did you know that irises are among the oldest ornamental plants? They have been known for several thousand years! The name โirisโ comes from Greek and means โrainbowโ referring to the incredible variety of colors these flowers can have. In my photos you can find shades of purple.
Despite their delicate appearance irises are very resilient and can grow even in challenging conditions. There are hundreds of iris species and thousands of cultivated varieties!
