For some time I wanted to take pictures of San Blas, one of the most historic parishes in Valencia, Venezuela.
It is located in the middle of the city, in the middle of what was once an urban vanguard.
The contrast between modern and colonial architecture is notorious. It is enough to go deep into the heart of San Blas to appreciate its essence, totally ancient, but alive.
In its streets wander stories ignored by my photographs, because they did not seek to deepen them, but play to be just an apex that invites you to imagine anything, as if it were a literary piece made in image.
I wandered in the area for only a few minutes before the rain interrupted my journey, but I will be back soon to continue discovering in the name of chance.

Desde hace un tiempo quería tomar fotos de San Blas, una de las parroquias con más historia de Valencia, Venezuela.
En plena ciudad se encuentra, en medio de lo que alguna vez fue vanguardia urbana.
El contraste entre la arquitectura moderna y colonial es notoria. Solo basta adentrarse hasta el corazón de San Blas para apreciar su esencia, totalmente vetusta, pero con vida.
En sus calles deambulan historias ignoradas por mis fotografías, porque no buscaron ahondarlas, sino que juegan a ser solo un ápice que invita a imaginar cualquier cosa, como si se tratara de una pieza literaria hecha en imagen.
Fueron pocos los minutos en los que deambulé en la zona antes de que la lluvia interrumpiera mi travesía, pero volveré pronto para seguir descubriendo en nombre del azar.
