Es el parque Nacional que resguarda nuestra Caracas, su cadena montañosa es visible desde cualquier parte de la ciudad, a través de muchas ventanas se muestra majestuosa vestida con sus matices verdes que brillan a la luz del sol y por las tardes se opaca cuando la arropa la densa neblina, en las noche a sus pies como si fuese un nacimiento se encienden las luces de las casitas de los moradores que viven en lo más alto del cerro. Para encontrarnos con ese pulmón vegetal sus caminos nos llevan por muchos atajos podemos subir caminando por las empinadas rutas señalizadas, como también en automóviles todo terreno públicos o privados, en esa aventura nos encontramos con una zona muy boscosa, especies de flora, fauna propias del lugar mucha biodiversidad, los parajes son maravillosos en sus miradores observamos toda la ciudad un mundo de contraste con construcciones nuevas y viejas, casas aún con techos rojos y otra parte de la ciudad más rural con casitas construidas en zinc. También podemos subir en el Teleférico de Caracas desde la estación de Maripérez, el mejor absceso a los turistas y a la gran población, cuando llegamos al pico más alto del Ávila nos encontramos con áreas turísticas para visitar, el Hotel Humboldt, la Pista de Hielo, Galipán, un pueblo famoso por sus cultivos de flores y la variedad de la comida de sus restaurantes, cuenta con posadas para quedarse. Se pasa un día distinto, respirando aire puro y nos apartamos del bullicio de la urbe.
