This week, while on a business trip, I managed to find some free time and did a quick test of my new Viltrox 16 mm f/1.8 lens. I chose the night sky near the Koźlak windmill in Ostrzeszów, Poland as the subject.
The images show two faces of a December night:
- in the west – the setting Milky Way and the constellation Cygnus,
- in the southeast – Orion.
All frames were taken from a tripod. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring a lens heater on the trip, so a significant part of the session turned into a battle with condensation forming on the lens.
Data (the same for each frame):
light: 60 × 20 s, ISO 3200, f/2
dark: 30 × 20 s, ISO 3200
foreground: 1 × 60 s, ISO 800
processing: Sequator and Photoshop
Equipment:
camera: Sony A7R II
lens: Viltrox 16 mm f/1.8
