Greetings my Friends!
The winter is not leaving us just yet here in Ontario, therefore we must make the best of it. One of the fun activities to do is skating, although, I am not putting on sates anymore lol. I went for walk instead and took some photos of frozen lake and surroundings, while the boys were on the playground. They were not to eager going skating at first neither, because they are not very good at it yet 🙈. However, practice makes better, so hopefully they will be skating like pros in no time. Nevertheless, first I would like to share with you some winter beauty on a sunny day.
Mind you, it was -17C and my fingers were frozen even while wearing gloves. Also, my lens was getting fogged from my breath and I was having hard time getting it into focus. Especially macro!
However, somehow I did it!
I remember being at this location called Chinguacousy park at summertime about five years ago. This is a boat rental building and you can go for a ride under the bridge to a Lake Ontario. Besides that, there is lots of activities happening there for kids and adults.
Looks like the Canadian geese stayed even over the cold winter. I guess they got used to it. I was trying to capture more of them, but they were baiting on the other side of the in melted water. It was too far and in the shade.
And here we are, finally at the skating ring, which during the summer is a splash pad. It is a very cool place!
Go Nicholas!
My two winter games champions! On the photos it looks like they know what they are doing, but the reality it's another story 😂
It was a beautiful sunset too, although, by that time I was completely frozen. Luckily I was able to warm up my fingers in the bathroom under the hand dryer!
I hope you enjoyed our beautiful winter, as much as I did, minus the cold! Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful week 💙😍💙
