As one friend recently told to me, we may not be free in 2022 but we could still dream and plan to travel freely as we use to do that not long ago...
Now let me, just for the sake of free dreaming and free planning, share with you a possible photographic-travel destinations list for 2022.
1. Sicily
Italy is probably the country where I've been traveling the most to. Always with my camera(s), of course! Still, there are few parts of it, that I feel I gotta explore.
I've seen the photos of few of my friends who were there, definitely a top destination! I know for them one week is the minimum. Actually, probably all destinations require such time, otherwise we're only scratching the surface!
2. Sardinia
From my Italian friends I know the best time of the year is the spring. In the summer it is so hot that usually the green is gone. I suspect, though, the late autumn may be beautiful too, with a chance of fogs and ghostly views...
3. Cinque Terre
I've seen other travelers' pictures. I believe a long hike there is the best way to see the most possible...
4. Dolomites
Spring, winter, have any of you guys been there already? Any suggestions?
Now let me share few pictures from my favorite places I've been already and I would love to return at any time and spend much more than one week :)
5. Greenland
Who wouldn't want to have a few cool summer weeks around this amazing part of the world that hasn't been fully explored? ;)
6. Iceland
My summer ten days round travel trip, generally following road #1 there, put that strong desire in my to return in the winter and have photos of some new amazing landscapes but this time in white. Clear, pure fantastic shapes. Hopefully with the magical Aurora Borealis dancing in the sky...

7. Isle of Skye, Scotland
Oh my, oh my, this peninsula is definitely touched by God.
In my top 5 photo-destinations.
8. Canary Islands
I've traveled to Lanzarote with a small group of photographers back in 2014. I would love to explore any of the remaining islands from that group of islands, full of contrasts, colors, amazing nature, history and culture!
9. Japan
Thinking of places, located far East from where I live, Japan is the first country that comes to my mind. I would love to walk those gardens, full of blossoming cherry trees and see those magnificent mountains. Also, as I've been a few times to New York already, I would love to have the chance to compare it to Tokyo :)
10. New Zealand
Since my father, rest his soul, was there on a long business trip and returned home with a pile of amazing colorful saturated photos that I scrolled like a hundred times, this island is at the top part of my list!
11. Galapagos Islands
Kurt Vonnegut is one of my favorite writers. I read one of his best science fiction novels "Galapagos" perhaps more than twice. I think that everybody who has ever touched this book is dreaming about traveling to that special place.
12. Kenya
Africa is a huge unknown to me. I guess ten lives won't be enough for a curious traveler to see even only the most famous places there. But why Kenya?
I have few friends who traveled to Africa, and while I have heard many great stories about other countries too, Kenya was the only place that everyone was insisting I visit, as a photographer. Should I listen to my friends or there are countries I should put higher on my list instead?

Now there is that secret (European) destination that I was really planning for: tickets, places to rest for the night, map points for shooting sunrises and sunsets... I'll keep that one for me only and I'll be extremely happy to share the pictures with you once I'm back! :)

Still, if none of those happen in 2022, I have enough places to explore in my country, blessed with everything you could think of - sea, mountains, valleys, rivers and mild climate with all the four seasons. And history going back to Romans and Thracians...
