Nun haben meinen Freundin und ich das Wochenende in Porto (Portugal) verbracht. Eine grossartige Stadt. Da wir aber vorher kleinere Dörfer und Städtchen besucht haben, waren wir ein wenig von der Touristenflut überrascht. Doch gekonnt haben wir unter die Wochendendreisenden gemischt und uns unseren Entdeckungswille nicht nehmen lassen. Wir sind den Fluss Duoro, welcher uns schon seit geraumer Zeit begleitet, hoch und runter gelaufen, haben mehrmals die Brücke Ponte Luis, welche unten leider eine Baustelle ist, über und unterquert, und in der Altstadt alle verschiedenen Azulejos (bunt bemalte, quadratische Keramikfliesen,die ich für ein anderes Projekt aufhebe) fotografiert. Kulinarisch haben wir uns mit natürlich mit Portwein und Pasteis de Nata verköstigt, und ich habe fast täglich eine Francesiña (ein Sandwich mit Toastbrot, Kochschinken, Wurst, ein dünnes Kalbschnitzel und ein Ei obendrauf, mit Käse überbacken und in Sauce serviert) vertilgt. Eine Kalorienbombe, aber eine sehr gute.
Mit diesem Post und der kleinen Auswahl von Bildern nehmen ich euch mit auf einen ersten Rundgang durch die portugisische Hafenstadt.

Now my girlfriend and I spent the weekend in Porto (Portugal). A great city. But as we had visited smaller villages and towns before, we were a little surprised by the flood of tourists. But we skilfully mingled with the weekend travellers and didn't let our will to discover take us away. We walked up and down the river Duoro, which has accompanied us for quite some time, crossed the bridge Ponte Luis, which is unfortunately a construction site below, several times, and photographed all the different azulejos (colourfully painted, square ceramic tiles, which I am saving for another project) in the old town. Culinary-wise, we feasted on port wine and pasteis de nata, of course, and I devoured a francesiña (a sandwich with toast, cooked ham, sausage, a thin veal cutlet and an egg on top, topped with cheese and served in sauce) almost every day. A calorie bomb, but a very good one.
With this post and the small selection of pictures, I take you on a first tour of the Portuguese port city.

Ahora mi novia y yo hemos pasado el fin de semana en Oporto (Portugal). Una gran ciudad. Pero como ya habíamos visitado pueblos y ciudades más pequeños, nos sorprendió un poco la avalancha de turistas. Pero nos mezclamos hábilmente con los viajeros de fin de semana y no nos dejamos llevar por nuestras ganas de descubrir. Subimos y bajamos el río Duoro, que nos ha acompañado durante bastante tiempo, cruzamos varias veces el puente Ponte Luis, que desgraciadamente es una obra en construcción en la parte inferior, y fotografiamos todos los diferentes azulejos (azulejos cuadrados pintados de colores, que estoy guardando para otro proyecto) del casco antiguo. Desde el punto de vista culinario, nos dimos un festín de vino de Oporto y pasteis de nata, por supuesto, y devoré una francesiña (un bocadillo con pan tostado, jamón cocido, salchicha, una chuleta de ternera fina y un huevo encima, cubierto de queso y servido en salsa) casi todos los días. Una bomba de calorías, pero muy buena.
