Greetings, fellow sentient beings!
Here be a small side story.
On the day that I was building My Level One Archery Range, I took a small break before noon. I was still in phase one which was...clearing a patch of the yard from all the overgrowth. Swinging the hoe at the hoeables, pitchforking the pitchforkables, etc.
So, when it was getting a bit hot towards noon and I could feel my pulse getting quick and my breath getting a bit short, I took a walk towards the centre of the village, I found out that there was nothing that I'd buy from the only grocery store there, and I turned to walk back to my place but I took a different route. And found me this nice yard with grapevines in rows, quite better in condition and showing much more care than the one I was taking care of.
At first I saw the helmet at the fence, fencing unwanted visitors off the ripening grapes. Or trying to. As automated as that guard was...
Then I saw there were others, many others with various colors, guarding the rows. Maybe I do have to pick my long lens and make a photo story of them, too. For now, it is the front soldier-worker-you-name-it.
I guess the owner had a construction company pr something. Either that, or a really long construction worker career with dozens of warned-out helmets to boast in his (or her?) career.
Definitely something unique to see as far as your normal scarecrow techniques go.
After that, the Win 7 CD swinging in the wind on a nylon chord was way more common.
So, this is how you automate your old workers...
Peace!
