The time was just right, and the birds were there in decent volume. A volume of crows. It's a pleasure both watching them turn, midair, in unison, and hearing them caw.
Blue Hour. It lasts a few minutes, much less than an hour for sure. One of the three magical times of the day when it comes to beautiful light.
A hand-held camera at...hand. And me — holding it. What a good recipe for nice, blurry, moody images.

Capturing the mood for myself feels much more important in these cases than technical perfection. Perfection tends to spoil the mood. It might be true in general, as well.
All looks and sounds romantic when on picture.
The picture shows you what we want you to see.
It leaves other details out.
Like...the ground being carpeted in white beneath each and every branch.
The branches — white as well.
Except during Blue Hour.
