Nice cars in the streets of Cuba
In the last few years my wife and I did some travelling about Cuba. Because of the United States Embargo against the Caribbean island there are still a lot of vintage cars in the streets. Look and enjoy.
Road cruiser in the streets of Cienfuegos.
Havana. Taxis in front of »El Capitolio« waiting for tourists. The drivers offer tours of the city.
Havana. Each ride takes you along the Malecón by the seafront.
Havana. Narrow streets in the centre.
Havana. Taxis near the large hotels of Vedado.
Havana. Most of the road cruisers are »collectivos« like here in the »calle Galiano«, very cheap rides on fixed routes.
Havana. Place in the old town »Habana vieja«, driver repairing his car.
Havana. Mercedes like my uncle possesed when I was three years old.
Havana. Peugeot 404 still with the original engine. When I was nine years old, my father had a car like this, even the same colour.
Playa Girón. Taxi driver waiting.
Viñales. Road cruiser in the front garden has to be repaired.
Camagüey. Road cruisers needs a lot of fuel.
Trinidad. Old car on cobbled street of old town.
Trinidad. Looks almost like new.
Valle de los Ingénios. Road cruiser in the middle of nowhere.
