This time around I drove up to Hollola in my quest for a better beach.
When I parked my car close to Iso-Tiilijärvi, I followed a bunch of people with towels walking along a path.
It does not look like an official beach maintained by anybody.
There is a bin. But I can't take a leak anywhere. No privacy anywhere.
That mast is on top of Tiirismaa, the tallest point within hundreds of kilometers along the Salpausselkä I chain of eskers.
The bottom is a bit rocky but it looks nice.
Vähä-Tiilijärvi, another lake close to Iso-Tiilijärvi. That container houses a kiosk run by the local 4H club. But it wasn't open right now.
A much better place
Good beach. When I came it was about half past seven pm. About 28 C and still 26 C when I left an hour and a half later. The water was very warm, maybe about 24 C. No algae.
Driving home.
