Being a mother is the best condition or state of a woman. Nothing is more beautiful than feeling useful when you bring a life into the world and take care of it and protect it until it can take care of itself.

So it is in the animal world. Mothers take care of their young and defend them from danger at every turn. My mother lives on a farm near my town, and one of those visits (before the pandemic), I was able to take these pictures of two cows that had just given birth to calves and were feeding them, just like human mothers do.
