Friday, Saturday and Sunday - I really had three days off. Well, at least almost, a little bit of work had to be done, but I try to keep that out of my memories. Because at the moment I remember three fantastic and fulfilling afternoons, which I was allowed to spend outside together with the family.
Health-wise, the last few days have been a bit of a roller coaster ride and I ended up on antibiotics, but at least they seem to do the trick. Maybe they contributed to the fact that I made it out of the house. Actually I was sure that a little change, fresh air and exercise would do me good, although I have to admit that I would have preferred to stay in bed. But sometimes you have to force yourself to feel alright and so I just took my happiness in my hands.
Even though summer hasn't really hit yet, it's already quite humid outside, but temperature-wise it's still pleasant, so I really want to go out and move around for quite some time. And as usual there were no objections, and especially the younger fraction was quite excited when I announced my ideas and plans.
Friday we went to a park, which is actually a larger playground with an attached athletic trail. For the little ones it looked like just the right thing, here they could let off steam and obviously enjoyed themselves to the fullest. And I was also immediately in a better mood, particularly because the location is extremely charming and the whole place was, as usual, wonderfully maintained, in good condition and super clean. Even though I had to take a break and sit down every now and then, we were all keeping us busy and really deserved the subsequent dinner, which we had moved to the beach. A wonderful end to the day and a perfect start to the weekend.
Saturday afternoon we went to another park, which actually deserves to be called a forest. After a short round between mighty cedars and green ferns, I led our gang to one of my last discoveries, which I had made only a few days ago during a small walk in between. I really needed to come back here and here we were.
This jungle gym here in the forest was built very recently and therefore had to be approved by us as well. Like on Friday, it was mainly the little ones who did their rounds here, but of course I also tried some rounds myself. But my own legs are simply too long, so I couldn't really climb around on my own. And since I was called to help all the time, I was busy enough anyway.
Our closing round then led us back in the forest and up the hills and afterwards we had another dinner in the fresh air. This time we had chosen a lookout from where we could enjoy a great view of the plain ahead. The onigiri (rice balls with filling of your choice) we brought with us tasted even better. And after so much action we had totally earned this delicious meal.
On Sunday we went out again, this time to a freshwater lagoon, where we wanted to do some walking. Although we changed our route at short notice and didn't get to the water quite as we planned, this time we did everything right again. At the beginning the team was in doubt whether our goal was really worthwhile. But in the end, these doubts were completely cleared up and satisfaction and good mood set in all around.
The first hydrangeas are now beginning to bloom and have pointed to us where we will go in the near future. But there will be more to report and read about this when the time comes.
Despite rain in the forecast, the weather had remained stable and the sun had shown itself longer than we had expected. Although it then became a bit fresh at the end of the afternoon and I was glad to arrive at the car to put on a jacket. But our round was not yet over, fortunately there was still a small playground to conquer, at which we were then the only ones and therefore could have twice as much fun.
And as usual, the kitchen stayed cold on Sunday again. We sat down right next to the playground on a bench that was clean as always and had a little dinner there. If it were up to me, I would prefer to have every meal outside. Of course, I'm aware of the inconvenience that would cause, so I make compromises. But especially when it's brighter and warmer, I insist on eating outside in the fresh air. There it simply tastes best and it is also much more fun.
So now the weekend is over and tomorrow we will face another Monday. But I am sure we can deal with that. If it was up to me, I would prefer to have every meal outside. Of course, I'm aware of the inconvenience that would cause, so I make compromises. But especially when it's lighter and warmer, I insist on eating outside in the fresh air. There it simply tastes best and it is also simply more fun.
So now the weekend is over and tomorrow is a Monday on the plan. But I am sure we can deal with that too and if everything goes well, there might be still some time left in the afternoon to go out in front of the door. And then it's almost the weekend again, so youwe can already start making new plans.
For today, however, the pillow is calling. It's just before midnight, so it's the perfect time to wrap up here. I wish you all a wonderful week, without stress but with maximum success. At the end, I will leace you with another picture from Friday, when we had our dinner right at sunset. Let's see where we can dine next time. I'm already quite excited...
