WHY IS A CULTURAL MONUMENT WITH A UNIQUE HISTORY BEING DESTROYED IN FRONT OF EVERYONE?
What can I tell you... In Bulgaria there are unique architectural masterpieces that, despite being abandoned, remind of the glorious years of our history. No matter how much I look for logic, I don't understand why the politicians let this station be destroyed. Don't they care?
The Royal Station was built in 1906 by King Ferdinand. It was built in the Viennese style, and the construction was completed in 1911. The mayor of the village of Kazichene told that the Tsar's station had been functioning for many years and many royal European personalities had passed through it. They went to visit the Bulgarian kings precisely with the narrow gauge train that stopped here. From here, a narrow-gauge train took them to the Bulgarian palace of Vranya. Years after its construction, King Ferdinand left Bulgaria precisely from this station.
Since 2009, many civil societies have gone to the municipality with a ready plan for the reconstruction of the building, but without any reaction from the state. I wonder why all this red tape... Let's just get building materials and fix it. No politician cares anyway...
Consider the following tourist and historical landmark: The building was restored in the same Viennese style, and an attractive narrow-gauge train departs from it, traveling to the Vranja Palace. I would pay for this trip! This is a recreation of a piece of Bulgarian history!
