This unique place, millions of years ago was the bottom of the sea. The colour of the rock formations is due to this. Many Bulgarian and foreign tourists come here every day. The place is located near the town of Belogradchik. In fact 90 percent of tourists visit the fortress "Kaleto", which is the most recognizable and among the most preserved Bulgarian fortresses, but very few people know that in a diameter of 30 kilometers there are unique rocks and caves.
You only see pictures around the fortress. We didn't go inside at all. I'm here on a photographic trip for educational purposes. Yes, I already have a student who is doing extremely well. I love teaching people practical travel photography. I don't think you can figure out the light in a studio or classroom.
The Belogradchik Rocks are a unique natural phenomenon not only for the Balkans, but on a global level. They were even ranked 77th in the world in the selection of the new 7 natural wonders of the world in 2009. I am absolutely sure that if our politicians were smarter they would rank much higher, but who is watching tourism in Bulgaria... Unfortunately, Bulgarians drink brandy while travelling, standing in pubs. For foreigners, however, Bulgaria is Paradise.
If this place is of interest to you and you like to take pictures contact me! I will be happy to show you the nature of beautiful Bulgaria.
