A Dark Afternoon Walk • Tower Bridge of London
The weather in London is most of the time dark, cloudy, and gloomy. We are lucky if we get sunshine the whole day as the weather is unpredictable. I would just like to share with you today some more photos from our previous visit to the Tower Bridge.
Central London is an amazing place to just walk around to do a photo walk. A fusion of the old and the new brings out the identity of each location. You have seen in social media a lot of posts featuring the Tower bridge. An iconic symbol that you would never get tired of looking at.
The stone walkways add to the charm of this location. You could just sit on one of the benches and enjoy a quiet afternoon in front of the Tower Bridge. Although the weather can change anytime, you may see good sunny weather sometimes.
On the bridge itself, I could not take enough photos while crossing the bridge. There are so many angles you could shoot from and still get a good photo. The Victorian gothic-style bridge will transport you back in time as you cross the bridge. We spent quite some time here just to enjoy the view and the surroundings.
High above are two walkways connecting the two towers. You could enter the tower for a fee and we will visit the inside soon. Also, it has been known that the bridge is one of the most haunted places in London. It has been told that some workers during the construction of the walkways fell to their deaths and this has been haunting the walkways ever since. Stories of figures manifesting and pulling your clothes.
After crossing the bridge on the side of Butler's Wharf the area is also a gorgeous location for a photo walk. This spot is a favorite among photographers as you will get a good unobstructed view of the bridge. We have not seen the bridge during evenings but it is magical when the lights are on.
The walkway along the wharf is beautiful as well and a romantic place to have dinner. A great location for a photo shoot and my daughter would definitely love it if only she was here with us.
A cold cloudy day with a little bit of drizzle now and then. It is best if you have a weather-sealed camera if the weather changes constantly. I had to cover my camera most of the time when it starts to drizzle. I hope we could experience the location when it is bright and sunny. It is always cloudy every time we visit central London.
Apart from the bridge, there are so many old buildings which are great subjects and have a very rich history. Central London is an amazing place to just relax and enjoy taking photos along the way. One day is not enough to fully experience it all.
If you are planning to visit find accommodation outside central to get a cheaper deal.
Thank you for joining us today and I hope you enjoyed these other photos of the Tower Bridge.
See you again soon.
Cheers!
