A Quiet Afternoon in a Park in London
It has been quite a big change for us moving from the Philippines to London. The surroundings and weather is very different from our country. Everything looks so beautiful and we only used to see these sort of places in the movies.
To get used to our surroundings we need to explore and go out more in spite of the cold weather. One of the accessible to visit are park, so please join me today on a nice quiet afternoon stroll.
I took a couple of shots of my wife on a bench beside the small lake. It looks like a nice quiet spot to read book or have a nice conversation.
There are a lot of birds in this park which I will go into detail some other time. It is very interesting for us to see a good number of species in one location. This is just one park we have visited so far and I am excited to see what we will discover in other parks.
There were ducks, gulls and even swans. If only I have brought along a zoom lens to get more detailed shots of these birds. Maybe on our next visit I could focus more on them. As of now I just took a couple of shots as we strolled along the park.
This park is a great habitat for these birds and sitting on a bench just watching these birds will make time fly by.
As we moved along we started to admire the beautiful trees in the area. It is still winter time and a lot of them have no leaves but still, they are beautiful. I'm excited to see what spring and summer look like. But I am more excited to experience autumn.
I do not know what kind of tree this is but looks like some sort of pine. It even has a lot of pine cone sort of thing. These are all very unusual and new to us as we do not have this in our country. So many new plants and trees around us and will try to find out more about them soon. Plants and trees are also great subjects. I just hope the residents will not find it unusual for me taking photos of common plants and trees in the area.
Looks like the park is also inhabited by squirrels. It is the first time seeing a squirrel and this one is giving us a stare-down. They don't seem to fear humans and look like they are waiting for us to give them something.
I'm not sure what this is but could be something significant in this park. The park is big and there are a lot of artifacts and details in the area.
A large open space that could be used as a football field. We saw some people walking and playing with their dogs in this area. Could be a bit muddy when it rains though.
After the quiet stroll thru the park we exited on the other end of the park. It was very relaxing coming to this park and for sure we will be visiting again.
Just outside there are a lot of shops, houses and building made from bricks. I guess this will be for another story. I just took a few shots before heading back home. I'm not sure when I will get used to our new surroundings as there always something new to see everyday.
Thank you for joining us today and I hope you enjoyed our afternoon stroll in the beautiful city of London. Hope to see you again soon.
Cheers!
