Enchanting Evening Stroll
After the events of the day the sun sets over the horizon and a cool breeze brushes my face. Another day has passed but I said to myself, "Let's make it last".
If you are curious what took place within the day you can check Burgis Mangrove Beach Resort • LIBERATION.
Tired from the events during the day, I was lying on my bed 9:00 pm and could not sleep. Thinking that this holiday would be over soon. I got off my bed and headed out to see what the shore offers during the night.
The shoreline is divided into privately-owned resorts. Different setups and with different price ranges. As I always say other accommodations may be cheap but they all sit on the same sand and sea.
Just a few steps away is a resort called the Beach House. With stars lit up in front perfect for those posts on social media.
Artificial torches set up in front give a little castaway vibe to this place.
I noticed tables set up outside and I think they also offer to dine for walk-in customers. Didn't see customers during this time. This seems to be a party place when everything back then was still normal. Parties are no longer encouraged in these times.
As I walked further along the shoreline, fishing boats were being brought up the shore. Some fishermen go out at night to fish but I wondered why they are bringing the boats up.
I overheard them talking that there might be a storm brewing and they wanted to make sure the boats are secure.
These boats are heavy and wood is placed underneath so they can easily move the boat on the sand. People here help each other which is amazing. I was thinking of giving a hand but I wanted to capture this moment to share with you a part of our culture.
I strolled further down the shore there were fewer and fewer people. A brightly lit up resort has one family outside playing underneath the glowing lights. The family may have this whole place to themselves. Not good business for the owners but the family for sure had an amazing time. Not worrying much about distancing from other people.
Just right beside the place is another resort. I heard a group of around 10-15 people having fun playing some party games. This place is bigger and has native cottages upfront. Seems like one of the more expensive accommodations in this area.
I have walked too far already as I felt that I was getting a bit tired and sleepy. The last resort that I saw looked like an expensive beach house. No people were around but still brightly lit up inside.
There were chairs and tables outside. It looks like a great place to have a romantic dinner by the beach.
The shoreline is long and there are still a lot of establishments lined up. I was too tired to walk further as it has been a long day due to our activities. I headed back, washed the sand off my feet and went to bed. The lullaby of the waves and the scent of the sea has put me to sleep. Dreaming of living near the ocean and sleeping underneath the stars.
Thanks for joining us today in this evening stroll. See you soon.
