Hello everyone! 👋🏽
Last April, I had the chance to visit the Oldtimer Exhibition at the European Square in Zagreb — an event that attracted a great number of classic car enthusiasts, photographers, and curious visitors alike.
The exhibition was lively and full of energy; walking among these beautifully preserved cars felt like stepping into another era, surrounded by passion, craftsmanship, and history.
📸 I decided to turn the photographs into black and white, as this simple transformation truly highlights the timeless elegance of these vehicles.
It’s fascinating how even the surrounding cityscape takes on a completely different atmosphere. Zagreb suddenly looks like a scene from an old film.
Each photograph captures its own quiet moment: the shine of the metal, the curves of the bodywork, and the echo of a time long gone.
Here’s a small selection of images from that day the ones that, to me, best capture the spirit of the exhibition.

When I converted the images to black and white, I noticed how the focus shifted -
we no longer see the color, but instead the lines, shapes, light, and shadows.
In this monochrome world, the oldtimers become more than cars; they turn into stories, nostalgia, and fragments of time that still breathe.
💬 I’d love to hear your thoughts:
How do you feel about black and white photography? Does it take you back to another era or perhaps give you a sense of calm and timelessness?
