"Knightly times have not passed. It's just that the dragons have changed" — Dr. Watson
For the first time we got to the knight's Tournament three years ago. The tournament is international, which speaks of its high class. That year, the Tournament and the Times and Epochs festival were held at the same time. This is probably why the audience finally had a chance to see this exciting action for free. That is, this year, unlike the previous ones, the Tournament can be watched for free.

To be able to watch the fights, you need to take seats along the fenced arena in advance. It's hard to imagine how early they start to take places on weekends. We didn't dare to check it out. The main problem of the viewer is that it is really clearly visible only in the first row.

30 minutes before the start of the fights, there is a show of squires who carry the banners of the knights. The show takes place not on the arena itself, but on the site behind it. A word of advice, don't leave your seat to watch the squire show - you risk losing your seat.

If you are lucky and you took a good place, and a guard stood in front of you, urgently look for another one! Don't expect the guard to leave. There was one security guard next to us, he stood in front of the audience all the time of the show. The security guard did not respond to requests from the audience.

I would like to note too loud and intrusive music during the show. Next to me, the audience discussed this disgrace, no one liked it. I hope the organizers took note of this.

As for the fights themselves, this is a magnificent and exciting spectacle. By the way, as it should be according to the rules, foot knights fight on wooden swords, because this is a tournament, not a real battle.

Of course, it would be nice to see Mele (a battle for the banner, when 2 teams of mounted knights armed with maces fight). But this show is only available from a paid stand.
In addition to the Tournament itself, the park houses the sites of the Times and Epochs festival, where all activities are free. Children can shoot from a bow and crossbow. They can feel for themselves how they prepared future knights from little boys.
But medieval dishes cost decent money, which is understandable.

The fair was not at all impressive, most of the goods presented can be bought at times cheaper. Unless the souvenir production made for the Tournament deserves attention. Jewelry disappointed, at the same Fair of Masters they sell much more interesting and beautiful jewelry

In general, the impressions are excellent, it is a pity that this holiday lasts only a few days.
That,s all for today.
Stand by

Sincerely yours
