According to legend,
"Les calanques de Piana" located on the island of Corsica in France, are the work of the Devil.
Falling in love with a shepherdess from the region of Piana, Satan came to earth to meet and conquer her. The already married shepherdess shows her indifference to the Devil and drives him out of her house!
Vexed, Satan takes revenge by destroying nature and by modeling evil beasts on the rocks of the mountain.
A few days later, once the devil was gone, Saint Martin blessed the rocks to extract the hatred that was imbued with them. A huge wave formed then came to caress the cliffs creating the Gulf of Porto.
