It’s not abandoned but just peaceful in some ways. The feeling of being abandoned is not always being sad. However, forsaken is quite painful as it said by “Jesus Christ” when he was crucified. Just like humanity these days, including me, I haven’t been in church for I think months, 2 or 3 months already. I’m guilty as a sinner, even though I understood, it saddened me why I kept doing it. My short reflection of today’s holy week is asking God’s forgiveness. Because of too many things I made myself busy and tired that it’s not my intention but I admit that I forgot my obligations as a Chiristian. I just hope that I won’t keep doing that in the future.
—------------------------------------------------------------
As of today, I don’t mean to be judgemental here, I just state what I’ve seen. Holy week has become vacation days for those who work relentlessly. We can’t blame them since they don’t have much time to enjoy life despite their unending hard work. It’s a choice to make what to do during this week, no one owns someone so no one should dictate to an individual what to do. Let’s just hope that all of us will be safe and remain our faith to God’s above.
Then there was me. I decided to close the store on this single day, Good Friday. Early morning, actually not too early since I fed the pigs first after cleaning. The surrounding was too quiet, maybe it was nice - not too many people were outside. I walked not far, approximately 2 km from home and then went back and then to a different side.
I went first to that greenfield, sorry, it’s not green right now because the rice is now ready to harvest, which means it’s ripe.
There was a single house made but it was not built to be a home but for a stockroom of growing rice tools.Even so, it was a beautiful location if someone wanted to stay.
Moving on, I thought the view there was nice when the sun was rising into that mountain from afar. Then before that mountain was a national road in between the rice fields. The road was not visible since it’s quite far and the camera I used was the oldest nikon dslr, d3100.
Time indeed flies so fast. The rice is now ready to harvest when I remember that it was just like yesterday when locals were planting. Well, it’s beneficial for the locals knowing how the price of almost everything hikes because of the diesel and gasoline. I hope the war ends so it will now be back to normal, life is already hard and the war is making it even harder.
Before this writing ends, I’ll leave you with this flowing small river hoping it gives a peaceful and calm feeling.
