Human interaction... I've spent the week burning neurons over this week's Qurator topic. Even more so after last Saturday's missed opportunity, when I went fishing and saw tens of other people enjoying the sport, having fun, interacting. (Self-note: Always carry the camera.) The reality is that I don't feel comfortable tanking pictures of people, or having them as the main subject. I certainly have photos with people on them, but that's a mere causality than a desired effect. To the archives I went.
I know only the first photo counts for the contest. However, I decided to post two. They are from different locations, both pre-Covid, both showcasing moments when I remember taking the photo because of the people and not the scenery. The two photos depict what I missed the most during 2020/21, those moments of enjoying our friends outside. That reality is slowly coming back.{Uff}.
1. Krakow, Skalka Sanctuary
I saw these three friends enjoying the sun facing the Vistula river. Behind them is the Skalka Sanctuary. I wouldn't have clicked if they weren't there, sitting under that three. Sometimes, these little moments among friends are the best.
2. Pelotas, Coronel Pedro Osório Square
This photo struck me the most because for nearly two years this scene didn't repeat. I'm glad to see groups of friends slowly getting their feet outside to enjoy the sun. On that day, I remember taking the camera out to record that moment not knowing that the next year the world would blow up.
These are my two photos of humans interacting. I hope you have enjoyed them and never forget to go out and enjoy your friends, because tomorrow we never know.-
