Each species of bird has its own technique to be able to photograph them, some are calmer and as long as they do not feel threatened they let you get close enough, others, however, are more skittish, no matter how hard you try they always get away from you.
Of all the ones I have been able to observe, the Spotted Sandpiper (Actitis macularius) is the most restless, I tell you, first you have to go to the coast where they are more common, once there pay attention because they are like crazy running everywhere. They never stay still.
The camera must always be ready and well configured to take advantage of the instant that almost always are seconds to make the planned photo.
In the end, despite all the effort, you realize that it was worth it and you really enjoy the pictures.
These that I share with you were taken in Havana, I hope you enjoy them!!!!
All photos were taken by me, with a Nikon D200 camera.
