My cousins' graduation day [Eng/Esp]

A couple of weeks ago my little cousins had their graduation event, I was invited to the ceremony and I took the opportunity to take some pictures before, during and after the whole event, I did this for two reasons, first because I had never taken pictures in an event like this and I thought it was a good way to practice and second, because I think that when we grow up, we like to see pictures or any other evidence of when we were little, so I wanted to make these pictures a nice memory for when a couple of years go by and my cousins can remember that day with some nice pictures.

Hace un par de semanas mis pequeñas primas tuvieron su evento de graduación, fui invitado a la ceremonia y aproveché para hacer algunas fotografías antes, durante y después de todo el evento, esto lo hice por dos motivos, primero porque nunca había realizado fotografías en un evento así y pensé que era una buena manera de practicar y la segunda, porque me parece que cuando crecemos, nos gusta ver fotografías o cualquier otra evidencia de cuando éramos pequeños, por lo que quise hacer de estas fotografías un lindo recuerdo para cuando pasen un par de años y mis primas puedan recordar ese día con unas lindas fotos.

I must be very honest, I was not that interested in the speech they were giving while the event was taking place, as my main interest was to take pictures while it was happening, so that many of the pictures were natural. Of course, there were certain photos that were part of the graduation, so at certain moments I had to get up and get a little closer. As I mentioned before, I don't have a lot of experience taking pictures in this kind of events, but I must say that it was a nice experience.

Debo ser muy sincero, no estuve tan interesado en el discurso que daban mientras el evento se llevaba a cabo, ya que mi interés mayor era ir haciendo fotografías mientras esto sucedía, para que varias de las fotografías fuesen naturales. Por supuesto, había ciertas fotos que sí o sí eran parte de la graduación, por lo que en ciertos momentos tenía que levantarme y acercarme un poco más. Como bien les mencioné antes, no tengo mucha experiencia en cuanto a hacer fotos en este tipo de eventos, pero debo decir que fue una bonita experiencia.

You will notice that some of the photographs were taken outside and others inside the classroom, it is evident to see the big difference in light, this is certainly an important factor, especially when you don't have something to generate artificial light, so you have to be very careful to take advantage of the light wherever it comes from. For the editing it was quite simple, I just tried to give more light to the photographs, as the originals were a little darker, especially those taken indoors, but still I tried to leave them as natural as possible.

Podrán darse cuenta de que algunas fotografías fueron realizadas en el exterior y otras en el interior del salón de clases, es evidente por ver la gran diferencia de luz, esto sin duda es un factor importante, más cuando no tienes algo con lo que generar luz artificial, por lo que hay que fijarse bastante bien para aprovechar la luz de cualquier lugar que venga. Para la edición fue bastante sencilla, intenté solo dar más luz a las fotografías, ya que las originales eran un poco más oscuras, sobre todo las tomadas en interiores, pero aun así intenté dejarlas lo más natural posible.

Maybe offering my services in this kind of events wouldn't be bad, but I would like to be a little more prepared in terms of equipment, but we'll see later.
