Portraits of a serious look [Eng/Esp]

About 3 weeks ago I had talked to Diego, to whom I took some pictures while he was rapping at an event (you can see them here ) and I told him that I was interested in doing a session as such, because the pictures of the event had been very spontaneous, but I liked the idea of doing something more planned, so after several days trying to have a free day both to meet, we did it and these are the pictures I want to share with you today.

Hace unas 3 semanas había hablado con Diego, a quién le hice unas fotografías mientras rapeaba en un evento (pueden verlas aquí) y le dije que me interesaba hacerle una sesión como tal, porque las fotografías del evento habían sido muy espontaneas, pero me gustaba la idea de hacer algo más planificado, por lo que luego de varios días intentando tener un día libre ambos para reunirnos, lo hicimos y son las fotografías que quiero compartirles el día de hoy.

There is something curious that I noticed after editing Diego's photographs and it is the fact that, in the sessions I have done with men, the facial expressions are always directed to seriousness, there are very few occasions where you can see any expression of happiness or something like that and I don't know if it depends on each person and what they really want to reflect in the moments they are photographed, But for example with the models it is different, I certainly take serious pictures, others where they smile, some with more provocative looks and so on, I do not know if I think that women like to take more diversity or if men simply do not allow themselves to do it, clearly it does not happen in all cases.

Hay algo curioso que me percaté luego de editar las fotografías de Diego y es el hecho de que, en las sesiones que he hecho con hombres siempre las expresiones faciales van dirigidas a la seriedad, son muy pocas las ocasiones en que se aprecia alguna expresión de felicidad o algo por el estilo y no sé si dependerá de cada persona y lo que realmente quiera reflejar en los momentos en que son fotografiados, pero por ejemplo con las modelos es diferente, ciertamente les hago fotografías serias, otras donde sonríen, algunas con miradas más provocadoras y así sucesivamente, no sé si pensar que las mujeres les gusta sacar más diversidad o si simplemente los hombres no se permiten hacerlo, claramente no sucede en todos los casos.

I must say that working with men (at least in my experience) is something much more linear, if you tell them how is the idea and how to pose, they will do it at once without hesitation, in addition to maintaining the pose until you tell them that you already have the picture, I see this as a curious fact, but it could well be coincidence that I have happened so with the male models I have photographed, which honestly are few, so we'll see if I can expand that list of male models.

Igual debo decir que, el trabajar con hombres (al menos en mí experiencia) es algo mucho más lineal, si les dices que cómo es la idea y cómo posar, lo harán de una vez sin dudarlo, además de mantener la pose hasta que les digas que ya tienes la fotografía, esto lo veo como un dato curioso, pero bien podría ser casualidad que me haya sucedido así con los modelos masculinos a los que he fotografiado, los que honestamente son pocos, así que veremos si puedo ir ampliando esa lista de modelos masculinos.
