🌻On this sunny day I happened to pass through this park, and although I had already walked through here and it has always seemed a very beautiful place, I felt that particularly today there was a magical aura around it, and I could not help taking some photos, favored by the beautiful light there was.
🌼En este día soleado pasé casualmente por este parque, y aunque ya había caminado por aquí y siempre me ha parecido un lugar muy bonito, sentí que particularmente hoy había un aura mágica alrededor de él, y no pude evitar ponerme a sacar algunas fotos, favorecida por la luz tan bonita que había.

🌻This place is the Doctor Areilza Park,founded in 1917, located halfway between the sea and the most urbanized area of the Portugalete neighborhood, Euskadi. It is a good place to rest sunbathing and breathing in the breeze that comes from the sea.
🌼Este lugar es el Parque Doctor Areilza, fundado en el año 1917, situado a medio camino entre el mar y la zona más urbanizada del barrio de Portugalete, Euskadi. Es un buen sitio para descansar tomando el sol y respirando la brisa que viene del mar.

🌻This small mural was painted by Maite Moyano, a local artist, in memory of two peacocks that used to live in this park and sleep in the treetops during the 70's. A period in which there was a mayor's office a failed attempt to have a small zoo with some caged animals and some that could roam the area freely. After the project failed, the animals that survived that forced situation were taken away. The truth is that I like more how it is now, a place where the birds can come and go whenever they want and there is no animal caged for entertainment purposes.
🌼 Este mural pequeño fue pintado por Maite Moyano, una artista de la localidad, en recuerdo de dos pavos reales que solían vivir en este parque y dormir en las copas de los árboles durante los años 70. Época en la cual hubo por parte de la alcaldía un intento fallido de tener un pequeño zoológico con algunos animales enjaulados y algunos que podían andar libremente por la zona. Después de fracasar el proyecto se llevaron a los animalitos que sobrevivieron a aquella forzosa situación. La verdad es que me gusta más cómo es ahora, un lugar donde los pájaros pueden ir y venir cuando quieran y no hay ningún animal enjaulado con propósitos de entretenimiento.
🌻And here, protruding from the stairs made of rock, there is a little house that looks like something out of a story. These photos were the ones that I liked the most, because of how well the green color of the leaves can be seen, and because of the kitten that sat down to pose just at the right time.
🌼Y aquí, sobresaliendo de las escaleras hechas en roca, hay una casetita que parece sacada de un cuento. Estas fotos fueron las que más me gustaron, por lo bien que se ve el color verde de las hojas, y por el gatito que se sentó a posar justo en el momento indicado 🐱
🌻I believe that the history of what happened many years ago in this park can teach us that if you want to build spaces for recreation and contact with nature, it must be done in a harmonious way in which we do not harm other creatures, and yes it is possible to do so.
🌼Creo que la historia de lo que ocurrió hace muchos años en este parque nos puede dejar la enseñanza de que si se quiere construir espacios de recreo y contacto con la naturaleza, debe realizarse de una manera armoniosa en la que no dañemos a otras criaturas, y sí es posible hacerlo así.
