Hello friends, I hope you all are fine and everything is fine and your life is going well. Friends, today I would like to show you an Aipan art made by me. Which is very famous in our Uttarakhand.
Aipan or Alpana is an art form that has a notable place in all Kumaoni homes. It is a traditional folk art of Uttarakhand. It has immense social, cultural and religious significance. Many houses decorate their walls with various geometric and other shapes related to gods, goddesses and objects of nature.
It is a ritual folk art of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. This art is mainly done on auspicious occasions, festivals and religious rituals. Aipan art is made in every auspicious occasion. Aipan is not only considered a decorative art but it is also seen as a ritual art. It is believed that it pleases the gods and goddesses and protects the house from evil forces.
Aipan is used to decorate places of worship, entrances and walls of houses. It is also made on special occasions like marriage, festivals, child birth, etc.
Friends, I have used 3 colors in making this, red, yellow, white. First red color is applied in it, after that painting is done with yellow and white colors. And I have used 000 brush in it because it is the thinnest brush, due to which the painting is thin.
Friends, I hope you all like these photos.š« š
