Maybe I'm a little behind the curve, but I've just recently discovered presets for Lightroom. This also kickstarted me actually using Lightroom too!
I've been a photoshop fan for a long time and happily admit my knowledge is only scratching the surface of what Photoshop can do, but I was happy, why would I need Lightroom? However when editing large numbers of shots it has been a tedious job going through them individually and making changes in Photoshop, but at least I knew where I was with my shots.
Then I bought some street shot presets from a Youtube channel which really seemed to change my work in a good way. Follow on a few months later and I saw an advert on Facebook for presets that add a deep blue and were marketed for nature / wildlife images. So I've gone through someold shots, and am really happy with the results.
These first images are from a walk through a Bluebell patch in some local woods..
I also added the same treatment to some recent wildlife shots from my recent Center Parcs holiday..
And finally, while it didn't come out quiet as I envisioned a really old shot from a frosty morning walk around a nature reserve..
The ironic thing too, I bought the wrong preset!
I selected the mobile pack instead of desktop so these have been edited on my phone! I'm not unhappy though, it did allow me to do edits easier and on the fly, maybe this is the way forward?
As a photographer I try to mix what I do in my shots, I've done still life, some macro work, lightpainting and I enjoy a good model shoot. If you'd like to check out any of my other work I'm on Facebook, or you can find me on Instagram under neilru75
Thanks very much for looking
Kind Regards, Neil
