November comes
And November goes,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.
- Clyde Watson
This Fall in the Midwest part of the United States we were fortunate to have one of the longest lasting and most colorful periods of autumn foliage I can remember!
I'd be delighted if you would join me on a visual walk through the subdivision where I live...
Everywhere you looked hues of rich warmth replaced the greenery with breathtaking shades of bright yellow, vibrant orange and fiery red.
A real looker, I cannot help myself from admiring her stunning cadmium yellow attire everytime I walk past.
One of the tallest trees in the neighborhood, this maple "chief" stands rightfully tall and proud as he greets neighbors.
At this point in our walk we are at one of common grounds where a creek runs through and nature abounds in a dense forest setting.
I noticed a family of windblown leaves that appeared to hug onto the mother tree, not quite ready to leave for the season. This is one of my favorite photographs from the series.
This is my entry to the weekly Wednesdaywalk hosted by the talented
