Welcome to the next episode of photo-series dedicated to hiking adventures. This time I was accompanied by my mum. She had always wanted to go hiking so I showed her around of Jeseníky mountains. Read on to find out more about waterfalls we passed by, dry mountain river bed we climbed down. Let the journey begin😉
A stream near Filipovice - a little village we set out.
Mushroom-season in progress!
Our first and last take😁
😵
A butterfly of Erebia genus (likely?).
A private locked out cottage on the mountain called Šumný (1073m). The Šerák mountain (1351m) is visually above the roof of the cottage. We are heading there now!
View of the Praděd (1491m) mountain (the highest one of Jeseníky mountains) from Šumný.
Now enjoying views from Šerák...
(Do you see the tiny fair spot in the center of the image? That is the cottage you know from the Šumný mountain).
...and of course some beer (with a cipher on the beer cup).
We intentionally take unmarked trail.
Funny. My mum just found this coin (50 CZK) in the grass. What are the odds someone loses it in this area and my mum finds it?😆
Blueberries just everywhere.
A hunting pulpit over there!
Views from the pulpit.
Unspoiled nature, like in wonderland.
Moor land, peat bog,...
Dragonfly in motion!
Formation of rocks on the mountain named as Žalostná (1351m). It is not easy to get there but it is worth it as NO ONE is there🤣
Praděd on the left-hand side.
Zoomed in.
A panorama of the landscape.
The mountain in the middle is Keprník (1423m).
Enough rocks for now. Let's descend and find some waterfalls. How about to take a shortcut? For a short time, my mum enjoys the nice green nature, mild descent, blueberries...
...but then it comes. Steep rocky slopes. Basically we go through dry mountain river bed of the Rudohorský creek. Unsurprisingly, not a pleasant trail. I dare to say we are the first ones marching here😆
I recall even some swear-words were mentioned back then. I do not blame her for those😁
A collapsed something of the creek.
This is where the creek rises these days.
The terrain gets harder and harder.
Finally, after some difficult moments on the road we get to the waterfalls of Rudokorský creek.
Refreshing but cold water.
Very approximate itinerary (as the map app cannot navigate through dry river beds😁).
The moral of today is to better plan more passable trail when hiking with mum (= avoid unknown shortcuts). In hindsight, my mum feels happy as she made it through this rough trail in her indoor shoes in one piece😉
This was Saturday of July 24, 2021. Thank you for reading this post. If you like it, stay tuned as more cool stuff will definitely come 😁 Don't forget to check out my Pinmapple profile to see all places I have visited on the map! See you on the trail😉
