We take a regular day off and get out of work. It is sunny day of February 25, temperature climbs up to 20°C in some places. Let's enjoy the day and do some traditional Czech outdoor meal-activity - roasting sausages!
First, must find the right place for campfire. Tempting grassy clearing on the opposite bank. Now need to cross this plank bridge over the Moravice river.
All set. My first roasting of this year! Note that beer is not mine...😄
...as I still stick to so called Dry February - alcohol-free month. If interested, you can read more about it in English here.
Roasted sausage with small-bum-like bread and mustard is just being served 😇
After roasting, we hit the road, finding this Grandpa's bench along the road.
Weisshuhn canal. A local entrepreneur, Carl Weisshuhn, needed enough water and electricity for his paper factory at Žimrovice village, so he initiated construction of this unique canal (nowadays with length of 3,5 km).
Memorial tablet (dedicated to Weisshuhn) on the rock over the waterway.
Down the canal, you can find beehives in various colors! 🐝🐝
Le canal formed by rocks.
The other bank of the canal is made up from barrage which also serves as long footpath.
Canal graffiti - unexpected & cool!
Yep, there are a couple of tunnels.
