Хороший день / Dobryi den’ / Hi,
Welcome to the fourth post (aka part fourth) dedicated to our little travelling across Ukraine. My previous posts sort of covered the Chernobyl power plant, Duga Radar, and other places of the Exclusion zone. In this contribution, we explore the city of Pripyat (Ukraine). What did we see? Check it out in this post😉
Before we enter the city, our ride stops here. Red Forest behind the tracks.
Why Red? Well, high radiation burnt local trees, so they turned their color to red. Also, our radiometer signals higher than usual values of radiation if you keep walking towards Red Forest.
Welcome to Pripyat/При́пʼять!
The city welcomes us with its local hospital.
The chair.
Now entering Café Pripyat.
Nice glass windows.
Old wending machines.
Few meters further, there is this ferry terminal.
Do you see the sunken boat in the distance?
Moving on... Stunning mosaic of cinema building.
Pripyat City Hall. After the disaster, home of offices dealing with the disaster.
Hotel Polissya.
Graffiti starts appearing😲
Restaurant!
Zoomed in.
Supermarket.
Another building with graffiti.
Community centre.
Finally. At the amusement park. Old good bumper cars😁
A breathing mask? Okay🙃
Now in front of Ferris wheel.
Avanhard football stadium in Pripyat. A bit of overgrown, isn't it?
Stadium entry gate.
Stadium light tower.
That is all for today. Thank you for reading. This was last post from our Chornobyl adventures back in 2018. If you like it, stay tuned as more cool stuff (like tours of Odessa/Kyiv cities) will definitely come😁 Don't forget to check out my Pinmapple profile to see all places I have visited on the map! See you😉
