Como is a glacial lake located in Lombardy, Italy. It is the third-largest lake in Italy, after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore.
It has been a popular retreat for aristocrats and wealthy people since Roman times, nowadays and a famous tourist attraction with many artistic and cultural riches.
It has many prestigious villas and palaces such as Villa Olmo, Villa Serbelloni, or Villa Carlotta. Many famous people have had and have homes on the shores of Lake Como.
The lake Como is Y-shaped, forming the so-called Triangolo lariano. There are several towns at the shores, including Como, Varenna, Bellagio, Lecco, or the little town of Canzo as its capital.
