Although I am completely uninterested in any sort of religious doctrine, I am quite fascinated by the architecture that has always accompanied this social phenomenon. My first thought is that all religious structures are imposing for a reason, perhaps because they should arouse admiration at first sight or just stimulate some unusual feeling in the observer.
That is exactly my case, but that feeling for me arises because of the artistic aspect that is imprinted in almost every religious structure around the globe. Whether the emphasis is on vaults, domes, portals or columns, or as in most cases is on decorative elements, these buildings never cease to fascinate me.
Since it is not my call to change the purpose of these beautiful buildings, all I can do is just keep taking photos.
