I was out taking landscape shots when a pleasant surprise appeared in the sky.
Life can so often play some quirks on one, and this was such a day.
It was a lovely hot morning, and the lighting was ideal for photography. So, my plan was to get out there on drive to see what landscape shots I could get. But that was my plan, and life had a very different plan in mind for me. It often happens to me, and I have shared countless episodes of surprises over the years. This day was yet one of those and I was really a happy chappy to see it.
I wonder if you also have similar episodes of pleasant surprises taking place in your lives. You make a plan and then something unexpected comes along. If you do, then feel free to tell me about it in the comments section below.
Just look what came along!
I love this Bi-Plane with its distinctive sound, and please don't blame me for taking a handful of shots of it again.
No, this time the plane did not fly overhead, as it appeared from behind the mountain in the last picture below of the post.
Slowly, and gracefully the old warhorse lady made its way in the distance.
Shame, the zoom of my camera worked overtime.
And then as usual, all things come to an end.
Our local airfield is about 20 kilometers behind that mountain, and that's where the old lady comes from. Perfectly restored, and she looks like new.
My dream is to take a ride in that old plane, as at her slow speed, it would be ideal to take landscape shots of the countryside, and the ocean below. But at what cost, as I am too scared to ask, and if it's too expensive then yet another of my dreams will be shattered. So, it's best to just leave my dream as it is, and also to continue my hopes of maybe someday that I will get a ride in her.
We hope that all will have a relaxing and peaceful Sunday, as nowadays the pressure on all of us just keeps on growing helter skelter. This world is in a toxic state, and one has to flee into nature to escape from the stresses. It seems that we are all in for a rough ride in this life, and at this stage I can't see anything better in the future. So, let's just continue to hang in there.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
