Oh yeah, there was a real party going on in the sky.
Maybe some of you will remember the game of tag, and this show reminded of a game that we all played as little boys, eons ago.
It was just a silly game of running around and trying to "tag" or touch someone else and to make them "it". Then "it" would have to run around and "tag" someone else, or something like that. It seemed like a never ending game, to me at least:)
We are, once more, having some weird weather here, and a recent halo around the sun told me that rain will be on its way soon. In the meantime I had some fun with the clouds and the moon, as you will see below.
See how the cloud tagged (touched) the moon below.
And the same thing happened here, as that tendril of cloud was trying to tag the moon.
Wow! It did tag the moon.
I think this was the referee in the game, but no I was hoping to get the gull right on the moon.
Here we go with the tag game again.
Bang! The moon was tagged.
Just two shots below of the clouds rising over the moon.
Finally, that was the end.
I am patiently waiting to get the full moon, and it is scheduled for the 7th of the month, let's just hope that the sky will not be blanked out by clouds. Currently, the moon still rises from behind a mountain foothill, and it will rise from behind the mountain peaks in about 2 or 2 months time. That is the ideal time to get the moon touching the mountain peaks during its rise and it makes for beautiful images.
I have posted the full moon on the mountain peaks a few times before, as it is always a majestic sight to see the big yellow or red ball sitting on a mountain peak. The other thing that I like about it, is that we normally sit in our car to wait for the moonrise, we also have a challenge to see who sees the moon first. The wife will have some snacks and coffee in the car. Almost like a late night car picnic, if there is such a thing:)
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
