Definitely not every day that one would see this.
Any ideas would be welcome in the comment section, before you look at the other pictures.
One never knows what one can find traveling around in town, and I always have an expectation that something will pop up to interest my camera. So, on this day I was happy, and my camera was happy. We were on our way back from a charity meeting, and we popped in at a wine farm for some coffee.
Then I bumped into an unexpected friend, and he showed me this.
Come and see.
Here is another clue.
There she was, a lovely old Dodge truck that looks like new.
High performance wheels.
And finally, there you can see my friend behind the truck. What a blessing it was to see this. He specializes in refurbishing old classics and we often visit his premises that is completely rigged out with all of the equipment needed to restore old cars. So many of the old classics that we see on the road here, have been restored by him. Either back to their original condition or ramped up into performance vehicles like this Dodge.
And now for something else.
This is a cute little Mini-Minor 1000 in its original condition. No, my friend did not work on this one as I found it somewhere else in a parking lot. Many years ago my one brother-in-law and his wife both had yellow Minis like this one. I think that the Minis were manufactured in the 60's and the wooden trim is very special on these little car, what they call station wagons.
The owner might be a surfer, as the roof rack has padded centers to strap a surfing board down on. A cute little car, and very light on fuel. We often also see surfers driving around in little old Volkswagen Beetles, like they stepped out of a different era, and all of them are young guys. So, they keep up the tradition of the fun that the surfers had many years ago.
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
