We are now gradually entering the Autumn (Fall) season and as we have winter rains, the clouds are promising some water soon.
I will show you some dark morning shots and then the sunshine was let in.
At the end of the post is also a video of one of my favorite songs.
Our days can change in an instant, depending on the direction of the winds. Blowing from the north means rain, from the west means Atlantic Ocean mist, from the east means hot air and finally from the south comes what we call the fearsome "Cape Doctor". A wind so strong that it can blow you off your feet. Named as the cape doctor, as it blows Cape Town City free of litter and germs. Taking some uprooted trees and roof tops along with it.
Thankfully today we had a calm wind from the north, and it is said that it will pick up speed later in the day.
So come and see what I have for you.
You can see the color difference in the two shots below, as the sun was fighting to get through. Those are grape vineyards by the way.
The pied crows don't mind the weather, as they can fly in any except the harshest conditions.
Sadly, due to the light, I couldn't get the crow clearly, but the photo was still good enough to share.
Some subdued colors in this one below.
Right, enough of the dark stuff and now you will see how the afternoon lights up.
The sun broke through the stubborn clouds and the scenes started to come alive.
I am sure that the palm trees started clapping hands here below and look at their smiles :)
Occasionally, the clouds tried to block the sun, but they stood no chance.
Game on as this is what they were waiting for.
I took the first photo of a squirrel next to the road and this lady, eating some avocado below, was in our garden at home.
And finally, here is the promised video.
I love to share unusual pictures and I also love to have some fun here on Hive. Humor is a part of my nature and even now, closing in on my 6th year on hive, I am still not tired of writing my blogs. Hard work at times, especially when I don't feel too well, but persistence is the key to success. My mom used to say that whenever I take a hold of something, then I simply don't let go like a bulldog. Unless when I lose interest in something, then I simply drop it and walk away.
At times I have reached some highs on hive, won some competitions, although I don't like competitions and I have also scored some other highs. All of it through hard work, as if one is not prepared to work hard at something, whatever it is, then one should rather not start it. No use to start something and to want instant success, as that will result in failure.
We see it so often these days as it appears that nowadays there is this new thing called entitlement. I am owed and life owes me is a fallacy that doesn't exist. Nobody owes anybody anything and we all have to be prepared to make our own way in life through our daily efforts.
Be it what it may.
I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
And That's All Friends.
