We he is young male, and by the way that he chases his mother around when she comes to feed, it seems that the whole nuts that he swallows have no effects on him. Yes, we were also surprised to see him swallowing the nuts, as not even his parents do that. The wife feeds them with crushed nuts. Strange but true :)
