Birds again

This sunny morning marked the beginning of a period when I'll be bothering you again with photos of birds, animals, and similar critters.

I visited one of my favorite "birding spots" and took a few photos. It was really just an attempt to see if I hadn’t forgotten how to do it over the winter. There were tits, blackbirds, and a woodpecker at the spot.

Dnešní slunečné dopoledne předznamenalo období, kdy vás zase budu otravovat fotkami ptáků, zvířat a podobné havěti.

Navštívil jsem jedno ze svých oblíbených "ptakovišť" a udělal pár fotek. Vlastně byl to jen takový pokus, jestli jsem to po zimě ještě nezapomněl. Na místě byly sýkorky, kosi a strakapoud.

And of course, there were also coypu. This slightly invasive species of wildlife is becoming quite common even near cities. Perhaps we should make coypu a sought-after part of our menu again 😊.

A samozřejmě nechyběla ani nutrie. Tento lehce invazivní druh zvěře se stává docela hojným i v blízkosti měst. Možná, že bychom měli udělat z nutrie opět vyhledávanou součást jídelníčku.

Obviously, I wasn't the only one who had the idea to go and take photos of birds around Saturday noon. In the end, we were three people there. But that doesn't matter, there are enough birds to go around.

Očividně jsem nebyl sám, kdo dostal tento nápad, jít kolem sobotního poledne fotit ptáky. Nakonec jsme se tam sešli tři. Ale to nevadí, ptáků je pro všechny dost.

And one more minor note at the end: This is exactly the reason why I always have a UV filter on my lens when outdoors. I have no idea when or how it happened. But it's better to hit a 10-dollar filter than a thousand-dollar lens.

A ještě drobná poznámka na závěr: Toto je přesně ten důvod, proč mám na objektivu venku neustále nasazený UV filtr. Vůbec si neuvědomuju, kdy a jak se to stalo. Ale je lepší ťuknout sklo za dvě stovky než stokrát dražší objektiv.
