Four Castles - Lookup tower Špicák (Slovakia)

I once posted an article here about a place from which you can see four churches.
But what about a place where you can see four castles?

Such a place is, for example, the Špicák lookout tower above Strečno. The lookout tower is on the next hill over from Strečno Castle and can be reached in about three quarters of an hour. And when the weather is clear, you can see the following four castles from it:

Takové místo je například rozhledna Špicák nad Strečnem. Rozhledna je na vedlejším kopci, než je hrad Strečno, a dá se na ni dojít zhruba za tři čtvrtě hodiny. A když je jasné počasí, můžete z ní vidět následující čtyři hrady:

3. Lietava Castle, located twelve and a half kilometres to the west. You need clear weather to see it clearly. Unfortunately, it was a bit foggy on this day.

4. And the fourth castle is Budatín, above Žilina. These are the buildings in the middle of the photo, with a wide low white tower.

Castles are not the only things you can see from the Špicák lookout tower. To the north is the lake of the Žilina dam and behind it the Kysuce and Javorníky mountains. On the other side, you can admire the railway bridges over the Váh River and the hills of the Mala Fatra Mountains.

Hrady nejsou to jediné, co můžete vidět z rozhledny Špicák. Na severu je jezero žilinské přehrady a za ním Kysuce a Javorníky. Na druhé straně se můžete pokochat železničními mosty nad řekou Váh a kopci pohoří Malá Fatra.
