Hey there my Hive friends and followers!
It has been more than a week since I posted something else than my regular series here on my Hive blog and I´m really sorry about it. As I have mentioned a few times already, I´m currently amid a very busy period (probably the busiest in many years) in the real life, for many different reasons, and I totally feel like I owe you guys an update post with some explanations but there are still some things that I need to know before I can write that post for you so thanks in advance for your patience and understanding. I haven´t been posting much lately, I have been struggling to check out my feed and the happenings on Hive in general but at least, I have been trying to make sure that all the comments that you guys left for me somewhere are being replied to. I really hope to be able to tell you what has been going on in my life lately but before I get to writing that post, let me share some cool natural pictures with you that I actually took today.
We made a little trip to a beautiful natural place called the Hostivice Ponds just outside of Prague, Czech Republic earlier today. It´s basically a network of ponds, creeks and swamps that, together, create a very unique and fragile ecosystem that is home to many interesting animal and plant species. The place looks really cool in photos on the internet but unfortunately, we were not lucky in terms of weather at all so most of my pictures from the Hostivice Ponds didn´t turn out well and I don´t even know if I make a post about the ponds from them.
However, I did take some that actually look very cool despite the gray cloudy skies and the lack of color in the lush vegetation. These shots are interesting just because one beautiful swan decided to pay us a visit (he was probably just curious to see if we had some food for him but whatever :D) and after checking us out, he even danced for us!
Let me show you how it began. That´s him. The Swan Majesty Himself checking out who dared to invade his realm...
After the audience (and after finding out that we didn´t bring any treats :D), the magnificent bird decided to show us who was the boss there by performing this impressive dance. The following shots are a kind of time lapse with the first picture and the last one being taken just a few seconds apart...
I hope you enjoyed the photos. I still cannot believe that my old phone camera was able to capture the two last pictures with such a decent focus even though the swan was shaking his giant wings like crazy. I was lucky I guess :)
