Manhole Cover Photography: introduction of the CSMC tag

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

I am going to dedicate my today´s post to promotion of an interesting initiative that has been around for quite some time already.

The initiative is about sharing photos of manhole covers and it is hosted by Hive account@bucipuci, one of the most active and dedicated members of the Czech community here on Hive. He runs the project under the CSMC tag (that stands for Collect Sewage Manhole Covers) and he even created this website where you can find all of the contributions submitted by himself as well as by other Hivers.

At first, I didn´t really pay much attention to this project as manhole covers are not among things that I would be interesting in photographing but after seeing so many different manhole covers from different cities and countries, I realized that this unusual photo theme might actually be an interesting niche here on Hive so I decided to spread the word about it among you, my Hivean friends and followers.

On this occasion, I would also like to contribute to the project with my very first entry, a photo of a manhole cover that I captured here in Krakow, Poland just yesterday.

Thank you, Hive account@bucipuci, for hosting this fun photo challenge. I still feel much more comfortable out in nature taking shots of animals and landscapes than exploring the city but when I get to see an interesting manhole cover somewhere, I will try to remember to capture it for you and your community :)
