Entering a tropical forest and walking along paths that cross the dense vegetation of the jungle, is an impressive experience that can make you feel small in the face of the immense green mass and the abundance of biodiversity.
Now you imagine walking through the treetops, in one of the least studied and most diverse environments, the canopy. Walking the suspended bridges gives you a feeling of freedom and control over nature, almost like flying. It is a privileged view, where it is easier to appreciate birds, small mammals, arboreal snakes, flowers and fruits that are not seen on the forest floor.
In Costa Rica you can find several places that offer this attraction, both in rainy and dry forests, even reaching cloud forests as in the case of Monteverde.
I made the images in the Tirimbina reserve, located in the northern Caribbean of Costa Rica. It is located in one of the rainiest places in the country and is crossed by many small rivers that flow into the great Sarpiquí River, which is crossed by one of the largest suspension bridges in Costa Rica.
This is an experience that should definitely be on the agenda of anyone visiting the country for tourism purposes.
