Some time ago I was talking with my friend JB, who is very fond of modeling, about taking some photos with the theme of Santeria or Osha rule, which is one of the most practiced religions in my country.
This religion was brought to Cuba, in colonial times, by the slaves who worked on the island who in turn were brought against their will by the Spanish, despite being persecuted and tried to eradicate, Africans kept their beliefs in the shadows and has remained until today rooted in the same Cuban DNA.
Hace algún tiempo hablaba con mi amigo JB que le gusta mucho el tema del modelaje, de hacer unas fotos con la temática de la santería o regla de Osha , que es una de las religiones más practicadas en mi país.
Esta religión fue traída a Cuba , en tiempos coloniales , por los esclavos que trabajaban en la isla que a su vez fueron traídos contra su voluntad por los españoles, a pesar de ser perseguida y tratada de erradicar, los africanos mantuvieron sus creencias en la sombra y se ha mantenido hasta la actualidad arraigada en el mismo ADN Cubano.
The Yoruba pantheon of the rule of Osha, has a great variety of deities, each of which rules over some aspect of life or nature, a bit like the religion of ancient Greece.
So on the cover and with the yellow dress, we represent Oshun, who is the goddess of love, of the sweet water of the rivers, she is like an Aphrodite, people ask her to find the partner of their dreams, she is also linked to the charity of copper which is the patron saint of Cuba.
El panteón Yoruba de la regla de Osha, cuenta con gran variedad de deidades , que cada una rige sobre algún aspecto de la vida o de la naturaleza, un poco como las religion de la antigua Grecia
Así que en la portada y con el vestido amarillo, representamos a Oshun, que es la diosa del amor, de el agua dulce de los ríos, es como una Afrodita, a ella le piden las personas para encontrar la pareja de su sueños, también está vinculada a la caridad del cobre que es la patrona de Cuba.
With his green suit JB represents the image of Oggun is the orisha of metals and mountains, a warrior deity, rules the surgeons, soldiers and trades that have to do with iron and metals.

In this religion, each person comes with a saint or guardian angel and shares with him the characteristics of his character and personality. That is why we represent Oshun as fun, with a big smile and coquette , while Oggun is more serious and hard-nosed.
