This flower is hydrangea, maybe you have seen it before, maybe not. It actually is a bunch in one stem with tiny little flowers if you get closer and see. That’s why I call them that. We have a plant in our garden and it blooms with blue color flowers.
I have captured these photos when we were at Nuwara Eliya for our vacation. Until I saw many different colors there, I thought hydrangea only blooms in blue. Fortunately, I was incorrect. And I’m happy about that. Because there are many other colors as well.
I have seen blue, pink, white and purple hydrangeas. You can see how they change their color with age as well.
Let me tell you a surprising thing I have found about the colors of hydrangeas. Color of the flower is based on the pH value of the soil. That’s kinda surprising to me. Because, usually if I buy a plant with blue flowers it is blue if a plant blooms in pink it is pink. Right? But, your hydrangeas change their color based on their soil !!
I should probably try this out on my blue hydrangea plant.
After that I found out that they like sunny mornings and sheddy evenings, so the best place will be the north of your garden to plant.
