Greetings to all the members of this photography loving community, today I bring you a photo shoot I did for a quinceañera, named Maday.
I had the idea for these photos a long time ago, but I was waiting for the right model and the right clothes. As soon as I saw Maday, I realized that she was the right one, I told her about the idea I had and she accepted without any problem.
We went to the Monte Barreto ecological park, we chose a place where there was plenty of shade. Setting up the stage was not difficult, I could see how the make-up artist and the model's family (who were there with her) looked at me and they didn't really understand what I was doing, I even had a videographer recording everything, who didn't understand what I was doing either.
The key to these photos is in the union of several elements, one of them is the lighting, where I wanted to achieve a soft, homogeneous light and simulating a sunset (it was 11am or so). I used a softbox light to illuminate Maday (remember that we were in the shadow) and another flash without modifier from behind with an orange gel...
Having already the stage set up, with lights, the model dressed and made up (I told the make-up artist to do a soft and natural make-up) I then dedicated myself to direct Maday, to achieve those soft and natural poses, which for me, completed the great part of the work, leaving only for editing, some minimal retouches. I used my canon 5d mark IV camera, with the 70-200mm f/4 lens all the time, always taking it to the maximum focal length that the place or the frame I was looking for allowed me.
I hope you like this session, I will continue to share my work and experiences with the community whenever I am allowed, happy day to all.
