With what's happening lately with my life, the bad news I received, the sickness that won't disappear, and the overthinking that is wrecking havoc in my brain, having a nice and slow walk like this is what helps me calm down, to forget all of my worries, an escape that I'll gladly take even if the peace of mind I can get is only for a short time.
Yesterday, I asked my mama to come with me to the plaza. I saw that the weather is good and it's not too hot, so I just thought, Why not take that day to give my eyes a rest and at the same time to also take that time to have a relaxing day? Mama said yes immediately. I know how bored she is now at her house, so maybe that's also what pushed her to agree. In times like this, I am most thankful that Plaza de Bansud exists in our town. That place has a more relaxing view that will really calm anyone's nerves.
And actually, I have more agendas for doing this. I have to look for this particular nasal spray for my nose, so I want to check every pharmacy or drug store in our area and ask if they have it. I already looked for it in some other pharmacies, but sadly, it is not available. If I don't find it here in our place, I have no choice, I will need to travel to the next town just to buy it.
Anyway, I just stop thinking too much and just focus on the beautiful ride of life. A slow walk with Mama with an amazing view outside is what I'm looking forward for this walk, so come with us as I walk you with us.
So, I was talking to my mama at that time, but I didn't notice that her attention was not with me anymore, but to this tiny little thing, she called it "dulce kumot," saying that she remembered her childhood years with her siblings and friends where they would pick them up on their way home and eat it. She said it was a delicious kind of fruit that they loved to eat. I only heard about this fruit from her. If she said it was delicious, then it is.
I will never know, as I didn't try it. And by the way, she's eating it while we're walking. And I took that chance to see it's inside and this what I found. It looks identical to that one sour fruit I used to eat with my classmates before, but I forgot the name. Either way, this one looks really lively because of its pretty color, which is so bright and yellow.
We continued the walk, still at a slow pace. I took a deep breath as I looked around the place. I can see people who're also enjoying their free time. Some have a set of friends, there's a couple too, and even those family members who's munching some street food on the side. It's a beautiful sight, as you can see happiness in their faces even though their "bond time" was as simple as this. But we all know that simple things can make someone feel happier.
Even the simplest plants and trees can make anyone smile, just like me or maybe just like you too. For sure, not just me but also those who see them. I just laughed when Mama asked me to dig and get these plants, as she wants them in her little garden. Mother is seriously, lol. I can't blame her though, as it is really pretty. I just doubt that they will grow healthy in her land because, as you know, she has two naughty dogs and a bunch of cute little chickens who love to bite even the smallest grass in the way.
She also wants these beautiful sets of flowers here. I mean, if these were in our garden, and when I open the window with them greeting me, I can start my day with a beautiful start. They are like vitamins for the human mind that will really make you feel lighter, freer, and more at ease, that kind of life, free of all, hehe. Ah, it could be perfect if only, lol. I'm just glad we have this kind of scenery in our place, though it is not in our home. If I plan to have a walk here from time to time, I can still see them if I want to.
Ahhhhhhhhh, life is really beautiful. There's still a lot more to look forward to every day. And just feeling down will only bring me heartbreak, so I should savor this beautiful life ahead of me. I should be with the wind and just follow their direction and enjoy every moment of it, just like what birds do ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾. I believe I can fly!
And just like that, we ended our walk in the Plaza with a street foods in our hands. French fries for me and squid ball and kikiam for my mama. I am so glad I go on this walk.
