With the departure getting closer, time suddenly feels different.
Days don’t stretch anymore — they just slip through your fingers.
We’ve been spending more and more time by the sea, like we’re trying to hold onto it.
Who knows when we’ll see it again like this.
Even the photos I took today feel a bit… quiet. Maybe even a little sad.
But somehow, that makes them more valuable to me.
A Message in the Sand
My son, as always, found himself a stick.
I still don’t understand where this habit comes from — every beach, every time… there’s always a stick involved.
While I was busy shooting, he was writing something in the sand — a message for his mom.
Simple things. But those are the ones that stay.
Less Color, More Feeling
Today I did something unusual — I stripped the colors from the photos.
No bright tones, no tropical overload. Just light, shadows, and mood.
And surprisingly, my wife liked these shots more than the usual colorful ones.
Maybe sometimes less really does say more.
Life Goes On
Nothing around us has changed.
Kites still dancing in the sky.
Fishermen still trying their luck.
The sea — calm, endless, indifferent to our plans.
And me, just walking slowly, taking one shot after another, thinking about the upcoming departure.
Feels Like Home
That’s probably the strangest part.
Thailand stopped feeling like “somewhere else” a long time ago.
It became… normal. Familiar.
We have friends here. привычки. Our own little routines.
And now all of that will have to change again.
But Not Yet
Alright, enough of that mood.
We still have at least 10 days left in this place — and that’s more than enough to make them count.
So here’s the plan:
Go to the pool — even if we’re lazy
Hit the islands — even if the weather isn’t perfect
Try that Chinese restaurant — even if everyone says we won’t like it
Forget the rules.
This is the final stretch.
Let’s make it worth it.
See you by the sea.
